Terms of service

Last updated 9 August 2026

These terms cover your use of Brace. By creating a workspace you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you may bind that company.

The service

Brace is a helpdesk: live chat, a shared email inbox, a help center and AI assistance. We may add, change or remove features. If we remove something you rely on, we will give reasonable notice.

Your account

You are responsible for your workspace, for the people you invite to it, and for keeping credentials safe. Tell us promptly if you believe an account has been compromised.

Your content

Your conversations, contacts and help-center articles remain yours. You grant us only the permission needed to host and process them so the service works, including sending message content to the AI providers described in our privacy policy when AI features are switched on.

Acceptable use

Do not use Brace to:

Plans, trials and payment

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe. A new workspace starts on a 30-day trial of Pro with no card required. Each plan carries an agent seat cap; inviting past it requires an upgrade. Fees are exclusive of tax unless stated.

Cancelling

Cancel at any time from the billing portal in your workspace. Your plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for. We do not refund part-months unless the law requires it.

Suspension

We may suspend a workspace that breaches these terms or that puts the service or other customers at risk. Except where the risk is immediate, we will contact you first.

Availability

We work to keep Brace available and we take regular backups, but we do not currently offer a contractual uptime commitment. If that changes it will be stated here.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Brace is provided as is, and our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we will update the date above and email customers. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
